Profile

Emmanuel serves as Climate and Environment Adviser at the UK Department for International Development (Nigeria Office). As the lead adviser on DFID’s Solar Nigeria Programme, he coordinates efforts aimed at powering critical public healthcare and education facilities with clean energy, as well as upscaling Nigeria’s off-grid solar market. With expertise built on years in sustainability consulting, policy advocacy, and international development organisations; he has advised top-tier Nigerian banks and private equity firms on sustainable finance and environmental risks; and has worked in London and Nairobi on wide-ranging sustainable development initiatives. Emmanuel holds an MPP from Oxford and has served on the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition as a Senior Judge selected by the Royal Commonwealth Society.
